Interactions between plants and microbiomes play a key role in ecosystem functioning are of broad interest due to their influence on nutrient cycling plant protection. However, we do not yet have complete understanding how assembled. Here, tested quantified the effect different factors driving diversity composition plant-associated microbial communities. We manipulated soil (high or low diversity), species (Solanum tuberosum S. vernei), herbivory (presence absence phloem-feeding insect, Macrosiphum euphorbiae) found that influenced herbivore-associated microbiome but also composition. relative strength these effects demonstrated initial explained most variation plant- Our findings strongly suggest community is driver multiple associated (plant insect), this has implications for importance management systems.
